Karan Heitschmidt (writing as Karan Eleni) is the owner and publishing director of Kindred Ink Press, a fiction and poetry-focused publishing company, and the author of upcoming small-town romcom series, Home Sweet Sandwich and Saving Guth Lake. A lifelong book enthusiast, Karan has worn many hats in the literary world—including book blogger, freelance editor, designer, and publicist.
In addition to her publishing and writing career, Karan owns Haven Books & Gifts in Big Lake and Buffalo, Minnesota, where she fulfills her dream of creating a welcoming space for book lovers of all ageswith a wide selection of new and used books, gifts, and bookish items. She lives in Big Lake and continues to share her love of stories—on the page, screen, and in person—every chance she gets.
