Well…totally dropped the ball on this one, huh? Health, writing, and the holidays kept me away from pretty much everything. Finally getting back into the swing of things and kicking off 2019 almost two weeks late, but that’s okay, right? Right? I couldn’t think of a better way to start than to share my current TBR list! I haven’t touched any of the books in the first post (which you can read here). BUT! I did start reading an ARC of—
“Get on with it, Karan.”
Okay, okay. Here we gooo!
As I was saying before the fictional peanut gallery interrupted me, I’m 24% into an ARC (advanced reader/review copy) of Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop from the amazing Rebecca Raisin, and (spoiler, but not really a surprise) I’m loving it. Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop is available for preorder now in ebook and audio (the) and releases on March 3, 2019. If you’re a member of the Twenty Q’s Book Clubs Chick Lit group, (surprise!!) this will be our April selection! Check back next week for my throughs on the rest of the book!
The trip of a lifetime!
Rosie Lewis has her life together.
A swanky job as a Michelin-starred sous chef, a loving husband and future children scheduled for exactly January 2021.
That’s until she comes home one day to find her husband’s prepacked bag and a confession that he’s had an affair.
Heartbroken and devastated, Rosie drowns her sorrows in a glass (or three) of wine, only to discover the following morning that she has spontaneously invested in a bright pink campervan to facilitate her grand plans to travel the country.
Now, Rosie is about to embark on the trip of a lifetime and the chance to change her life! With Poppy, her newfound travelling tea shop in tow, nothing could go wrong, could it?
On the TBR…
Beth Labonte – Love Notes in Reindeer Falls
In addition to the three in the first rendition of my new TBR post series (here’s the link again in case you didn’t click it above), I’m adding a re-read of an updated story by Beth Labonte that was released in 2017. Love Notes in Christmas Falls is now Love Notes in Reindeer Falls and has been revamped with an additional 7,000 words and an adorable new Christmassy cover! You can check out my original review here.
When Caitlin Cook left the small town of Reindeer Falls, Tennessee to attend Harvard University, she left behind the burden of her parents’ slowly increasing hoard of antiques, a much younger brother, and Shane Mitchell—the boy who blindsided her with the news that he loved her on the night before she left.
Eight years later, Caitlin returns to Reindeer Falls, and is shocked to find her childhood home in disarray, and her little brother in desperate need of his sister. Determined to make things right, Caitlin begins to rediscover her love for music, antiques, and possibly even Shane—who’s become a pillar of the community, rather than the carefree teenager Caitlin once knew. When faced with the choice of rebuilding her life in Boston, or giving love a second chance in Reindeer Falls, will Caitlin be able to decide on the true meaning of home?
Have you read any of these books? If so, what did you think? If not, which one(s) jumped out at you? Leave a comment and let me know.
