“Quit tagging me in your posts!” – Says hopefully no one ever!
When I write a new blog post, I usually schedule my social media at the same time via CoSchedule (affiliate link) which I will write more about soon. Sometimes, there are a handful of posts, others could have upwards of 15-20 over the course of the following month depending on the subject and nature of the post. In every post, I tag the main authors, bloggers, etc. I’m a firm believer in giving credit when credit is due. Using CoSchedule really makes my life easier. Soon I’ll be using hostiserver.com as my host server so I can solely focus on the content, leaving all the tech to the professionals.
Why do I want to make your notifications go crazy? Because I’m a brat! Muahahaha. Kidding.
The first time I tag you in a post on my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or wherever, it’s definitely so you know I was chatting about you. Whether it be an interview on my blog (which hopefully you know about), or me reviewing your book, or posting about sales and freebies, I want you to know. I mean, you’d want to know too, right? The other ninety percent of the time, I tag the pages of bloggers and authors in my social media posts so my readers, followers, and friends can find YOU easily, hoping to save someone time in searching for your page, allowing you to gain another follower or two.
You’re welcome. 😉
